The Founder
RITTER & Associates LLC was founded by Martin Ritter.
His career spans several decades within the international music industry and is rooted in a rare combination of musical, creative, and commercial experience. He began his professional path in music retail, gaining first-hand insight into musicians’ needs, dealer realities, and product performance at ground level.
From there, his career expanded into product management, brand development, international sales, and global distribution, working closely with well-known industry brands and contributing to product strategy, market positioning, and worldwide growth.
Alongside his commercial career, Martin Ritter’s creative foundation was shaped by classical piano training, composition, and a lifelong engagement with music and design. These disciplines informed an authored approach to products and brands, treating musical instrument accessories not as anonymous commodities, but as designed objects with identity and purpose.
In 1996, he founded and created an eponymous instrument bag brand that permanently changed how musical instrument bags and cases are designed, perceived, and valued worldwide. This work reshaped the industry by introducing design authorship, system thinking, and cultural relevance into a category previously defined by utility alone.
